Objective

Oatly embarked on a global Workday implementation to harmonize its HR systems across multiple regions and business units. The company had been operating on fragmented HR and payroll systems, which made it difficult to manage employee data, standardize reporting, and support its fast-paced global growth. The goal was to deploy a unified platform that would streamline HR processes, improve workforce analytics, and enhance the employee experience across its global workforce.

  • Standardize HR operations across global offices under one Workday HCM environment
  • Improve visibility and accuracy of workforce data for better decision-makingt
  • Automate manual HR processes including onboarding, payroll, and performance reviews
  • Strengthen compliance and governance across regional and global entities

Solution

Our team provided full testing and project management support throughout Oatly’s global Workday deployment. We designed a comprehensive testing strategy that ensured configuration accuracy, smooth data migration, and integration stability across HR and Finance modules. By coordinating between regional HR teams and global IT, we ensured alignment of processes, data structures, and reporting standards across all participating markets.

Key Deliverables

Key deliverables included an automated regression testing framework, validation of payroll and benefits integrations, and end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT). We also developed real-time test reporting dashboards, supported data migration audits, and provided post-deployment quality assurance to maintain system performance and integrity following go-live.

Results

The implementation of Workday transformed Oatly’s HR infrastructure into a centralized, efficient, and data-driven system. The platform unified HR processes across more than 20 countries, allowing for seamless coordination, faster onboarding, and improved visibility into workforce metrics. Employees gained easier access to HR services through mobile self-service features and standardized workflows.

The project achieved measurable improvements, including a 40% reduction in manual HR processing time, 30% faster onboarding cycle, and enhanced compliance across all global entities. Workday has since become the foundation of Oatly’s digital HR transformation, supporting its growth and sustainability-driven culture across international markets.
